Carew Castle…Carew Castle and Tidal Mill’s rich history spans over 2,000 years and tells of knights of the realm, kingmakers, Elizabethan intrigue and Civil War devastation. The castle has daily guided tours.
Set in a stunning location overlooking a 23-acre Millpond, the Castle is one of the most architecturally diverse in Wales; from the west a Norman fortress and from the north a splendid Elizabethan mansion. Also dog friendly!
Award winning blue flagged beaches…A total of 52 awards have been awarded to our wonderful beaches; 30 Seaside Awards, 11 Green Coast Awards and 11 prestigious Blue Flags.
Amongst our favourites are Barafundle and Freshwater West, stopping by Stackpole Inn and Cafe Mor for refreshments.
Narberth High Street… Narberth is a truly unique little town; a stroll around the characterful streets yet offering a wide variety of independent shops. Browse the world of antiques, fine foods, fashion and jewellery, homeware and furnishings.
Narberth has a fast growing reputation as a ‘foodie’ destination and is home to award winning suppliers of local produce and fine cheeses, meats and wines.
Caldey Island Boat Trip…A fleet of boats runs to the island from Tenby Harbour from Easter to October.
Caldey Island has been inhabited for many centuries by various orders of monks and is currently owned by the Cistercian Order, living in the beautiful Abbey, found just a few minutes walk from the landing stage. On the far side of the island you can walk to the lighthouse and enjoy the spectacular views.
Also look out for the Chocolate Factory and Abbey Gift Shop selling perfume and shortbread baked in the monastery.
